Question 1: When is this event and where will it be?

This event will take place Spring of 2026. The location and exact date is TBA.

Question 2: Do I need to be from Spartanburg to apply to speak?

While residency in Spartanburg is not a requirement, we will prioritize applicants from the Spartanburg area. We strongly encourage you to apply, even if you are not a Spartanburg resident

Question 3: How many speakers will get accepted?

As this will be a full-day event, we are targeting a minimum of 10 speakers to share their ideas from the TEDxSpartanburg stage. While there isn't a strict limit on the number of speakers we can approve, our goal is to curate a diverse and impactful lineup.

Question 4: Will there be breakout sessions at this event?

Yes, in addition to the "Main Stage" events, we will also feature breakout sessions. Come prepared to immerse yourself and gain valuable knowledge!

Question 5: Can I nominate someone to speak?

Yes, you absolutely can nominate someone to speak! Simply navigate to the "Be a Speaker" section under "Get Involved" on our website and complete the nomination form. We will then reach out to the nominated individual to inform them of their nomination and ascertain their interest in proceeding with the application process.

Question 6: How old do speaker need to be?

All speakers need to be 18 and older for this event.
